The Dallas Trekkers are hosting the event this Saturday, March 15th.  The walk explores the Irish-named streets and the Eastwood, Old Lake Highlands, and Lochwood neighborhoods of Dallas. It  also follows along Dixon Branch Greenbelt Park.

Start/Finish point and registration will be at White Rock Sports Bar & Grill, 718 N. Buckner Blvd # 108, Dallas, Tx

START TIME: 8:30-11:30 AM.  Must be finished by 2:30 PM.

This is a Volksmarching event and you need to register to get a start card. We request a $3.00 donation to help defray the cost of hosting the event.  There will be a 5K and 10K option.

This is not a speed event. You are encouraged to bring along your children and walk/talk and spend some time together enjoying the great outdoors.

When you finish (anytime before 1:30 PM) you turn in your start card. If you are an official Volkssporter you will have an Event and/or Distance Record Book. When you turn in your start card you will receive a stamp in your record books.

Directions to Walk Location: North or southbound HWY 75, exit to eastbound Loop 12 / Northwest Hwy. Head east approx. 3 miles to Loop 12 / Buckner Blvd. Turn south to shopping center at Northcliff Dr. East or westbound on I-635, exit westbound on Northwest Hwy approx. 4 miles to Loop 12 / Buckner Blvd. Head south to shopping center at Northcliff Dr.

If you are interested in collecting a stamp for doing this event there will be “New Walker Packets” for sale at the start. They cost $5.00 but they contain three walk coupons inside worth $3.00 each so it is a bargain.
