Seymour 5k/10k Walking Event – Sat. Nov 29nd

Come join us for a walk to explore the historic county seat of Baylor County. Seymour is located along the Brazos River at a crossing point for the Western Trail. The town post office features a Tom Lea mural and there’s a lot to learn about this Texas fossil mecca.

This is not a speed event. You are encouraged to bring along your children and walk/talk and spend some time together enjoying the great outdoors.  All are welcome to come walk with us.

Start/Finish point and registration:  Whiteside Museum of Natural History, 310 N Washington St., Seymour, TX.

START TIME is anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Must finish by 5 p.m.

This is a Volksmarching event and you will need to register to get a start card. We request a $3.00 per person donation to help defray the cost of hosting the event.

When you finish (anytime before 5 p.m.) you turn in your start card. If you are an official Volkssporter and have an Event and/or Distance Record Book you will receive a stamp in your record books.

If you do not as yet have an AVA record book, they will be for sale at the start/finish. Just ask for a new walker’s packet. The packet is $5.00 but it contains three coupons for free registration ($9.00 value) as well as both an Event and a Distance book.
