Houston Museum District 5k/10K – Sat Dec. 13

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church from the corner of Binz and Main

Come join us for a walk on the trails and sidewalks in the museum district located near St. Pauls United Methodist Church.  St. Pauls was honored with a Texas State Historical marker in 2007.

This is not a speed event. You are encouraged to bring along your children and walk/talk and spend some time together enjoying the great outdoors.  All are welcome to come walk with us.

Start/Finish point and registration:  Fondren Hall, St. Paul’s  United Methodist Church, 5501 Main St., Houston, TX.

START TIME: 10:00 – 12:00.   Walkers must be off trails by 3 p.m.

This is a Volksmarching event and you will need to register to get a start card. We request a $3.00 per person donation to help defray the cost of hosting the event.

When you finish (anytime before 3 p.m.) you turn in your start card. If you are an official Volkssporter and have an Event and/or Distance Record Book you will receive a stamp in your record books.

If you do not as yet have an AVA record book, they will be for sale at the start/finish. Just ask for a new walker’s packet. The packet is $5.00 but it contains three coupons for free registration ($9.00 value) as well as both an Event and a Distance book.

Directions to Walk Location:   From 610 South Loop take Main Street exit, travel north to Binz Street.  Turn right onto Binz.  Left onto San Jacinto Street.  Parking is on the left in either of two St. Pauls parking lots.  A pedestrian crosswalk links the parking lots with the Jones Building (Fondren Hall).
