Stage Coach Park Walk – Buda – 04/25/15

The Colorado River Walkers from Austin are hosting this Volksmarching event.   There will be a 5K route which will be completely in Stagecoach Park.  The 10K route include the 5K then leave the park and walk through the historical residential district on shaded streets past older homes.

To participate in either of these walking events you are required to register at the start.  Registration is anytime from 9 am – until Noon.  Registration costs a mere $3.00. You will carry a start card with you and at the checkpoints your card will be marked.

This is not a speed competition. You are encouraged to bring along your children and walk/talk and spend some time together enjoying the great outdoors.

When you finish (anytime before 3 pm) you turn in your start card. If you are an official Volkssporter you will have an Event and/or Distance Record Book. When you turn in your start card you will receive a stamp in your record books.

If you do not as yet have an AVA record book, they will be for sale at the start/finish. Just ask for a new walker’s packet. The packet is $5.00 but it contains three coupons for free registration ($9.00 value) as well as both an Event and a Distance book.

Start Point:  Stagecoach Park, 880 Main St. Buda, Texas 78610

Directions:  Travelling South on I 35, exit 221, Main St. Drive about 1.3 miles on frontage road to traffic light. Right on Main St. 1.1 miles, through 3 traffic lights. Park is on right, and “Tourist Information Center” sign will indicate. Drive to back of park to pavilion.

Travelling North on I 35, exit 220, Main St. and FM 2001. Straight on frontage road, crossing FM 2001, to next light at Main St. Left on Main for 1.1 miles to park on the right. Go to pavilion at back of the park.
