Come do an evening walk with the Randolph Roadrunners at the Southtown and the Riverwalk through the King William Area
There will be a 6K and a 10K trail option. The routes are considered easy and are on city sidewalks. There are, however, several staircases on the route.
You may bring your leashed pet but you must pick up after it. Animals are not permitted in any of the buildings along the route and they are not allowed in the Garten. German food and drinks are available at reasonable prices. The Garten entrance fee of $5.00 will be waived if you are a volkssport participant. Come walk and stay to enjoy the music, food & drink, and companionship from 5 p.m. to midnight.
To participate in either of these walking events you are required to register at the start. Registration is anytime from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Registration costs a mere $3.00. You will carry a start card with you and at the checkpoints your card will be marked.
You are NOT required to be an AVA member to participate. Everyone is welcome to come and walk with us.
When you finish (anytime before 9 pm) you turn in your start card. If you are an official Volkssporter you will have an Event and/or Distance Record Book. When you turn in your start card you will receive a stamp in your record books.
If you do not as yet have an AVA record book, they will be for sale at the start/finish. Just ask for a new walker’s packet. The packet is $5.00 but it contains three coupons for free registration ($9.00 value) as well as both an Event and a Distance book.
