The Houston Happy Hikers are hosting this event.  The walk route will be down the jogging trail in the middle of Heights Blvd, past the World War II Plaza (a really neat monument), past historic homes and their markers. The walk will continue along White Oak Bayou for over a mile to enjoy the open air then into the neighborhood of the Heights to enjoy their homes, yards, and gardens.

Start/Finish point and registration will be at Carter & Cooley Company, 375 West 19th Street, Houston, Texas

START TIME: 9:00-Noon.  Must be finished by 3:00 PM.

This is a Volksmarching event and you need to register to get a start card. We request a $3.00 donation to help defray the cost of hosting the event.  There will be a 5K and 10K option.

You do not have to be a club member to participate.  This is not a speed event. You are encouraged to bring along your children and walk/talk and spend some time together enjoying the great outdoors.

When you finish (anytime before 3:00 PM) you turn in your start card. If you are an official Volkssporter you will have an Event and/or Distance Record Book. When you turn in your start card you will receive a stamp in your record books.
